Trustworthy, loyal and will always shoot it to you straight.  Respectful of rules, protocols and proper channels while leaning into the inevitable collaboration where making it work and making the day are top priority. 

On the way up the proverbial ladder Syd did all the things.  Production Assistant, Production Coordinator, Production Supervisor, Line Producer, Head of Production and Executive Producer. Not necessarily in that order.  Syd know things, and if she doesn't, stand by, she know's people who know things. 

There are disputes on the origin of the nickname, Big Syd. But the truth is simple, from a young age Syd has been in charge. 

A she / her / hers, working mom, oldest sister, type A, organization obsessed, straight shooting,  breast cancer survivor, with a fondness for teen melodramatic TV shows.  Got love triangle? Yes please.    

Born and raised in Vermont , called Chicago home since 1996, and now splits her time between the city and Northampton, MA, or wherever the shoot takes her.  In the late 90s, Syd studied at DePaul University Theatre School but ultimately received her BA from Columbia College,  in Film / Video Production.   

Former staff positions include Line Producer at Big Deahl Productions as well as Head of Production at Tessa Films as well as many perma-lance stints for various production companies. 

That trial by fire educative experience combined with 20+ years of freelancing in the ever evolving Film & TV business has created a high-level broad scope coverage kind of boss, organized creative thinker, passionate storyteller who won't mind getting her hands dirty if its for the good of the job. Big Syd is polished and scrappy all at the same time. Able to adapt and pivot on a dime, she understands the importance of a composed leader who exhibits grace under pressure.  She is great with clients, on top of the budget, and always game to try.    

Admittedly a bit of an over-thinker, but that's kind of her job. Allows you to do yours.
